Si’s blog has now moved, so any links to that need to be updated. New url – http://greeniey2k.moturdrn.co.uk/
SEO is in effect on this blog, hence the funky new urls to posts.
Lew’s blog is back up and running.
Gosling smells, and hasn’t made the tea.
That is all.
Edit: Tea is now being made.
Edit 2: You’re welcome!
So the old mouse I had was starting to grow old. I’ve had it about a year (a personal record for myself) and the signs of aging started to show. Like a more elderly being, it couldn’t quite remember where it was a few moments ago and caring more about shouting at the teenagers on the front lawn rather than doing anything. By teenagers I mean other players, and by front lawn I mean in the game. It developed a habit of making the cursor jump on the screen, usually in the opposite direction to what I moved it.
So I did what any loving, caring, human being would do when confronted with such a being. I put it in a home. By home, I mean bin.

Okay they didn’t actually say that, but they may as well.
The script they provide to embed the video is still full of old flash tags, which although the video will load, aren’t needed. Maybe it’s just me though, being annoyed that the W3C validator was picking that up and giving me the orange error bar of death. For those interested, the code to pass the XHTML1.1 validation is after the jump.
Additionally, the site now has a new Favicon. You may need to delete your cache to see it.
You’ve probably found out by now that attempting to access the moturdrn.co.uk site without specifying a page (or when specifying index.php) redirects you here.
With the change in thinking came a change in overall site layout.
Why not put this directly on the moturdrn.co.uk site, rather than a subdomain? Because it’s part of the plan. Specifically, my plan.
I intend to keep a blog subdomain once the site goes live again. Also, as parts of the site start to go live, I can begin to publish them here so that our current 2, maybe 3, readers can see it and provide feedback.
…Moving it would also have been too easy.
So many changes planned, so little actually got done.
BBCode parsing, automatic youtube embedding, registration and login sections. They’re all there, it’s just missing the tables and the pages to support blog postings. All simple enough to do, but it takes time which I don’t have whilst working on other projects (which take higher priority over developing this system.)
The site was being developed at http://www.moturdrn.co.uk/preview although I’ve now disabled the registration and login sections. The information on the page can be changed through http://www.moturdrn.co.uk/preview/data.php
So, for the foreseeable future, I shall be using this as the blog system. I’ve not played with this one before so it should be interesting.
Edit: Heh. Hi again, WordPress!
